Coffee filter as screen/mirror cleaner- Clean all your mirrors and T.V. screens in the house using a coffee filter for lent free, streak free viewing.
Mayonnaise as a rust preventer- Tired of rust being left on the ledge of the tub? Coat the bottom of your shaving cream with mayonnaise to prevent rust.
Pillowcase as ceiling fan duster- Slide an old pillow case over each fan blade and pull the fabric back. The dust will accumulate inside the pillowcase rather than all over your floor.
White bread as a painting cleaner- Gently clean an oil painting using white bread to remove any dust.
Aluminum foil as glassware scrubber- A balled up piece of used aluminum foil doubles as a steel-wool soap pad to remove the toughest food stains.
Broom as long-distance duster- Have a bunch of dust in hard to reach spots? Apply a micro fiber rag to the top of the broom and secure with a rubber band.
Car wax as sink polish- Prematurely, protect you sink and shower using car wax. The wax will create a protective barrier against future stains.
Dryer sheet as iron cleaner – After turning the iron on low, rub a dryer sheet over the hot metal surface to get rid of any gunk that has accumulated on the iron.
Fork as carpet fluffer – Do you have flattened down carpet? Use a fork to fluff carpet fibers back to the original height.
Citrus peel as garbage disposal deodorizer- Throw an orange or lemon peel down the disposal to rid any foul smells that may have accumulated.
